By partnering with professional organizations in China, we aim to introduce advanced aphasia rehabilitation methods and help more patients in China regain their language abilities.

| Why Focus on Chinese-Speaking Communities?

The Asian (particularly Chinese) community in the U.S. has limited awareness and resources for aphasia, leaving patients and their families underserved.

According to the National Aphasia Association (NAA), approximately 2 million people in the U.S. are affected by aphasia, with 180,000 new cases each year. While specific data on Asian Americans with aphasia is limited, stroke rates remain high in this community. In 2018, about 361 out of every 1,000 Asian adults in the U.S. experienced strokes, a leading cause of aphasia.

In China, nearly 4 million people suffer strokes annually, with 32% developing aphasia as a result. Experts estimate that the number of aphasia patients is growing at a rate of 8% per year, reaching approximately 12 million by 2024.

The Chinese-speaking community represents a rapidly growing yet underserved group of aphasia patients who need more attention and support.
